Entry 21
Dear Diary,
The past events are far to much to take in. Voldemort was here and I spoke with Leah and Purity. Long story short I ended up starting a club. It's called the key club, and it is for people who are against Voldemort. So far we have ten members, Angel, Leah, Rebecca, Purity, Kmoto, Autumn, Fire, Pat, Juliana, and myself. I was elected to be the leader after I gave a speach, which I will record here for future refrance. After I was elected the leader I was baptised, it was painful, but now I am a Christian and I have never been more happy. I am worried for my father; Corvis however. Juliana and him are no longer ingaged and she is engaged to professor Froyodor, I just don't understand it... but I need to hurry. Here is my speach:
Nathanial stood up in the middle of the room and smiled quietly. "Alright, well... Leah and Purity have already heard this speach, so I shall ask them to bear with me." He blushed slightly and held his head high. "We are all hear because of rescent events invulving Voldemort." He looked them all over, "As you already are aware; I am sure. Some of our fellow students have become invulved in this, Jessica Williams along with Jake Thompson are the most prominent..." there was a long pause then, "We are here to call and end to this, in a matter that does not pull us down to the level of the dark lord."
He looked them all over in silence then started, "It has been brought to my attention that some of you have been critisising my father...professor Corvis. I know that you are entitled to your opinions, but I really want you each to understand the situation. Being the prince of dorgotten... my posistion with you is compromised, and I believe that professor Corvis' posistion is also compromised." He paused for a long moment. "Can each of you please close your eyes and picture a chess board?"
"Alright, please picture a huge game board, with millions upon millions of pawns. And picture each pawn as a person." He inhailed, praying inwardly that he didn't spund stupid. "Picture the knights, biships, and castles as the important people in the world... like princess', queens, presidents, and the like."
"Now think to yourself, the chess board no longer has two sides, but many... atleast ten differnt sides. One side is Voldemort and the death eaters, one side is each country of power in the world... think about that and now think that with many sides comes many kings. Each side has one king that controls the game, and each side has afew queens, they are the people that directly impact the queen."
"Now think, if there are different sides to the game, are there different colors? The answer is no. We are all one and the same, there is no black piece, or white peice, there is only gray... the game is not what it seems to be. If everyone is gray then we are fighting each other... by fighting Jessica we are fighting ourselfs, by fighting Voldemort we are fighting ourselves... this means that violence is not the way!"
"This means that what we are doing is wrong... we need to stop fighting and trying to take down the king on the board! We need to show the tyrants that we are better then them, we need to show everyone that there is more then one way to end the game! There is a way taht we can all win!" He looked at everyone, "Getting rid of Voldemort will do nothing to help us! There will always be some tyrants, as long as there are people on earth, because as long as there are people there will be leaders, and as long as there are leaders there will be war!"
His eyes began to burn with a passion. "We MUST understand, destroying each other is not the answer! Someone very wise once told me that the powers of discord and pain are strong amoung us, and we can only fight them with an equally strong power of friendship, trust, and love."
"As the prince of Dorgotten, I was born into my country in a time of war! I have NEVER in all of my 4 thousand 7 hundered and thirty three years of living known peace! NEVER. And I want that to come to an end! Together we can bring it tp an end! I have been fighting all of my life to end a war that it was to late to end! So much blood shed has passed over my people that we can not end it with more bloodshed, I have seen my friends die on the battle feild! And I have seen my BEST FRIEND taken from me--- all because he was born into a family that aposed us. And I want it to stop! We can make it stop!"
"If we all pull together we can not fail." Nathanial looked at them all, pain was etched in his face. "In the game of chess a pawn must die or be lost, but that does not mean the pawn was worthless. Until that point in the game the pawn impacted everyone, they made a difference! This is about knowing that you to can make a difference, no matter how small! And this is about knowing that if all of us pull together we can make another side to the board, and we DON'T have to fight fire with fire!" He looked at them, "We can show the world our compassion and fight another way, it is that or watch our future generations suffer like we are suffering! If we do not do something then no one ever will, we CAN stop the bloodshed!"
Nathanial turned his attention to Leah. "Little sister, would you rather fight this with fire and become engulfed in the flames? When we fight people like Jessica we are becoming what they are!" He turned to everyone in the room in turn and asked them, personally if they were ready to stop the fighting, if they were ready to win in a wisper. Then he spoke louder, "Along time ago I had a friend, he's dead now, but he taught me two very important lessons, the first was to keep friends close and your enimies closer...we need to befriend jessica, and the death eaters... and voldemort." He looked at them all, "The second thing my friend told me was to chose campanions with care, for you become what they are... if we befriend them then they shall turn over and be like us."
He paused again looking at them all breathless, "Can not you see? If we band together and our friendship is strong then we can make a change, we can help Jessica and the others to see that we are happy... and I know for a fact that they are not... its like when Leah told me that I could be a christian... I didn't think I wanted to become one, because I didn't believe that I could ever be happy like everyone else..."
"Being around Leah has shown me that I am not d*mned forever. I can be saved, and that is why I have chosen to be baptised!!" He looked at them all, "Now I have a quietion for you all, before I go further and we discuss how we are going to pull this off... I ask you... are you with me?!"
